A friend of mine attended the Tea Party Express march on Washington.  She was amazed at all the people that were there and how great the event was.  Let’s hope someone in Washington was listening.  Her quote:

Yesterday was totally awesome. We packed so many people onto the DC Metro rail that it burned brakes trying to stop and they had to shut it down! There was a solid mass of people all the way from the Capital building to the Washington monument (over a mile) and all the way around the Capital building. If you heard estimates of thousands being present that is WRONG! Try millions!

None of the major left wing news media covered the event.  I saw a blip on the major 3 news websites, but all were making fun of how “they tried to make it look like a lot of people were there” and “it’s all radical right wingers”.  That couldn’t be farther from the truth.  There were a lot of democrats and independents there as well.  If Obama thinks that it’s only republicans who feel this way, he’s in for a rude awakening.  Press Secretary Gibbs stated that he didn’t have any idea what group this was.   I saw a statement that Obama didn’t know the protest was even going to be happening.  What a crock!
