Let’s see . . . . how many campaign promises has Obama broken in his short six months in office? I am not sure I can count that high, can you?

1. Transparency - he promised transparency in government – haven’t seen that one yet.  They are still screening his town hall meetings (doesn’t the definition of that mean that anyone can come an ask any question?  Aparently not!).  You have to send in your question via a social networking site and have it screened before you can ask.  And that assumes you get invited to the event.  Did I mention it’s by invitation only?

2. No Special Interest Groups/Lobbyists – yeah, right.  ACORN is getting a buttload of money (payment for their oh-so-honest votor registrations?).  Did you LOOK at where the stimulus money went?  Only Democratic National Committee supporters got any.

3. Bills will be available on the internet for five days prior to signing - translate, unless I need to railroad it through because otherwise it would never pass.  Let’s see, the stimulus bill was never posted for the general public to view before the signing, and congress only got eight hours to read it.

Now the Cap and Trade (or Cap and Tax as I call it) bill was railroaded through without it being viewable for any length of time – and congress only got FIVE HOURS to read the 1200 page (plus 300 page amendment) bill.  Even Greenpeace states that this bill does more harm than good.

I can’t afford another $3,000/year in energy bills, can you?  That’s what it’s estimated it’ll cost every single American household.  Back to the woodburner and candles for us, I guess.

4. And the biggie and my personal pet peeve – NO TAX INCREASES FOR PEOPLE MAKING LESS THAN $250K PER YEAR – well, let’s see, number 3 above sounds like a $3,000 tax increase to me.  And so does taxing my employer sponsored healthcare benefits.  What a way to make employers/employees DROP healthcare coverage and wait for the government to provide it!

It blows my MIND that no one sees how Obama is irrevocably damaging this country!  WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE (ERR, COOL AID) – WHILE YOU CAN STILL AFFORD TO DRINK IT!!
