Representative Hank Johnson, I’m sad to say, is from the state of Georgia – where my family and I live.  I CAN say that he is not in our district and we DID NOT vote for him!

Tell me though – that he really didn’t say what he said.

Addressing Adm. Robert Willard, who commands the Navy’s Pacific Fleet, Johnson made a tippy motion with his hands and said sternly, “My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize.”

No wonder they are passing bills that no one has read. It’s apparent that we have a bunch of uneducated people in Washington. Have YOU ever heard of an island that is attached to the floor of the ocean tipping over?

Tell me he didn’t really say that!

When was the last time you apologized to anyone? Maybe your spouse, your child, a friend – someone that YOU had hurt in some way.  It’s not always easy to apologize, but when it happens, the air is cleared between the two parties and life goes on.

Not so in the life of Democrats these days apparently.

I’m sure you’ve heard recently in the news about the alleged “tea partiers” that have threatened Democratic members of Congress and their families over the health care reform bill.  Did President Obama and his cronies not see this coming?  Did they really think they could pass health care “reform” when more than half of the American people were against it and not have people mad at them?  Get real!

Well, Congressman Alan Grayson of Florida has decided that anyone who is conservative, Republican, a member of the Tea Party, etc. should apologize for the threats that have come out this week.  Listen to this video below.

I don’t believe in making death threats against anyone and their family. That’s not how things will change in this country. In my opinion, that kind of conduct should be punished, especially if carried out against someone. That’s wrong.

But I also will not apologize for someone else’s stupid behavior – something that I have no control over.  I’ve seen enough of politics in my 49 years that I KNOW that all members in an organization are not always there for the same reason I am.  Who’s to say that the people making death threats aren’t plants to make conservatives and freedom loving Americans look bad.

I also find it interesting that the media is not giving the same kind of coverage to a man who was actually arrested in Philadelphia for making death threats against Republican House Minority Whip Eric Cantor.  This not-so-bright individual actually made videos of his threats on posted them online.  Not too smart!

So what about you?  Do you feel compelled to “apologize” for being angry about health care reform?  Not I!

It’s a sad, sad day for all Americans.  Less than 24 hours after the House of Representatives passed a healthcare bill that will bankrupt our country, kill jobs, and lower the quality of healthcare in America, at least 38 states have announced they will be suing the federal government.  They are just waiting for Obama to put his signature on the bill. I guess the Speaker of the House, Nancy “Princess” Pelosi, has decided she can’t even get this garbage of a health care bill through using the Reconciliation Process, so she’s now working on another “workaround” to the constitution.

Her latest idea is using the Slaughter Rule, or “Deem and Pass”.  A very little used, and totally inappropriate way to pass her piece of crap legislation that NO ONE IN THIS COUNTRY WANTS without even having a vote on it. Read the rest of this entry »
