Fox News Ratings Soar – Tell Me Something I Don’t Know

You just know it has to be killing the folks at CNN and MSNBC that Fox News has completely overwhelmed them in the ratings. In fact, the combined number of viewers of both of those networks still doesn’t match that of Fox News. Could it be that the public is sick of the fawning coverage given to the Obama administration by most of the mainstream media and look to Fox News for providing more balanced stories? That is something that the MSM people just can’t confess.

Now, seven months after Barack Obama’s victory, CNN’s ratings have gone down the drain. From May of last year to May of this year, CNN lost 22% of its total primetime audience. MSNBC was down 2%, while FoxNews was up 24%. In the key advertising demographic (25-54), Fox was up 31%, CNN was down 37% and MSNBC was down 26%. In hard numbers, Fox had 109,000 more viewers than last year while CNN lost 113,000. CNN averaged fewer than 200,000 25-54 viewers in primetime. Even MSNBC averaged more viewers than that.

Turnabout is Fair Play, Unless It’s on YOU!

I was reading yet another article by the liberal media blasting Rush.  I mean, it’s not like we have important things to do, like fix the economy, save jobs and homes.  Nah, it’s more important to have a brawl with a radio personality over something insanely stupid.

I know, I know, everything bad everywhere in the world is Bush’s fault.  Right.  It constantly amazes me how much power the liberals give Bush.  I mean, if one man had the power to bring down the entire global economy, and cause  natural disasters, wouldn’t you be a little bit NICE to him?  I mean, shesh, HE HAS THE POWER.  The fact of the matter is, the DEMOCRATS controlled congress for the last two years of Bush’s presidency.  And people who understand how politics work know the power really lies in congress, so I blame Nancy Pelosi.  Why not?  She’s the loudest, most ignorant, out of touch with the American public person I have ever heard.  And we all know she wants THE POWER.

So, everyone is slamming Rush for saying he wants the president’s policies to fail.  Guess what, SO DO I.  So does anyone with any common sense.  Socialism is never the answer, it’s been tried time and time again, and every single time it has failed.  What makes Obama think he has so much power he can make it work this time?  And turnabout is fair play, the democrats very emphatically stated they wanted Bush to fail.  Why is it suddenly horrible to say that we want Obama’s policies to fail?  Because they can dish it out, but they can’t take it.  Kind of reminds me of elementary school, how about you?

In August of 2006, this exit poll was taken on election day.

Regardless of how you voted on the presidential election, would you say you want President Bush to succeed or not?

Yes No Don’t Know
08-09 Aug 06 63% 32% 5%
Democrats 40% 51% 9%
Republicans 90% 7% 2%
Independents 63% 34% 3%

51% of Democrats wanted the president to fail!  Where was the outraged media when this was released?  They were part of the 51%.

My point to this rant is that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and should make that opinion heard.  It’s not illegal (yet) to disagree with the socialist policies of this new administration.  And with 2 years until the next chance to take congress back from the irresponsible liberals, we need to get it together and start spreading the word.
