Green Jobs! Get arrested and one could be yours!!

Obama claims the stimulus has created a bunch of green jobs.  Well, if you are wearing an orange jumpsuit, that is.

Turns out hundreds of these jobs went to prison inmates.  I read that they are making solar panels and parts for less than minimum wage, but, hey, they get three square meals and an apartment thrown in.  What could be better?

Maybe if I break the law I’ll be able to find a job!

Taking a Positive View

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted.  I spent a few weeks there being overwhelmed with a defeated attitude, feeling like this country is going down the toilet fast, and there is nothing I as a single person could do about it.

Well, now I’m done feeling sorry for myself, and I’m back in the “let’s fix this” mode.  So, here is what I am focusing on:

A Time for Choosing

Thank you very much. Thank you and good evening. The sponsor has been identified, but unlike most television programs, the performer hasn’t been provided with a script. As a matter of fact, I have been permitted to choose my own ideas regarding the choice that we face in the next few weeks.

I have spent most of my life as a Democrat. I recently have seen fit to follow another course. I believe that the issues confronting us cross party lines. Now, one side in this campaign has been telling us that the issues of this election are the maintenance of peace and prosperity. The line has been used “We’ve never had it so good.”

Can You Count That High?

Let’s see . . . . how many campaign promises has Obama broken in his short six months in office? I am not sure I can count that high, can you?

1. Transparency - he promised transparency in government – haven’t seen that one yet.  They are still screening his town hall meetings (doesn’t the definition of that mean that anyone can come an ask any question?  Aparently not!).  You have to send in your question via a social networking site and have it screened before you can ask.  And that assumes you get invited to the event.  Did I mention it’s by invitation only?
